A Focus on Integrity: An Introduction to TxDOT's Archeological Predictive Modeling Program

Archeological Predictive modelling provides a tool for agency archeologists and their partners to focus resources for effective compliance with Antiquities laws, and for planners and engineers to incorporate archeological considerations into the early stages of the planning process. This presentation will discuss TxDOT's approach to archeological predictive modelling and provide an update on the status of the program.
About the Speaker:
James T. Abbott has a B.A. in Archaeological Studies and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Geography from the University of Texas at Austin. He has been working in CRM Archeology for 40 years, and for the last 20 years he has been staff geoarcheologist at the Texas Department of Transportation.
