FME is a data integration platform that transform data, automate workflows and connects GIS / ESRI environment to any systems.


It works with a visual drag and drop interface and is a simple alternative to python coding, DB scripting or using ModelBuilder.


FME turns a regular GIS person into a GIS Ninja!



Do you work with multiple formats and data sources such as CAD and GIS? Would you like to transform and integrate them using best practices? Safe Software’s FME Desktop might be the right tool for you. In this workshop, you will learn how to develop and build a workbench in FME using geospatial data.


Here’s a few topics that will be covered in this all day workshop:

  • Introduction to FME and data conversion basics
  • Data transformation
  • FME best practices
  • Transformation components
  • Practical transformer use

Who should attend: Anyone who has to manage data.

Requires: General knowledge of GIS.


You are required to bring your own laptop for this event. Consortech will provide a temporary version of the software download prior to the workshop.

It pays to register early! We have an early bird special - register for the event before January 1, 2020 and you get it for the low price of $199


After January 1, 2020 the price goes up to the regular price of $249. This price will last until February 7, 2020. 


After February 7, 2020 you will be paying a late registration of $299 up until the event itself.

Lesley Mackenzie


Lesley MacKenzie graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts in Geography. She is passionate about geomatics and has been working in the field for over 15 years. Her main focus is leveraging ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) with the context of data workflow and process optimization.

At Consortech, Lesley provides consulting, training and solution design services on various GIS and IT platforms including Safe Software’s FME Desktop and FME Server. Her motivation lies in helping her customers develop automated data workflow processes so they can focus on the fun stuff, real GIS work! Lesley was one of the first specialist in North America to obtain Safe Software’s FME Certified Trainer and FME Certified Professional certifications.
