Advanced Field Data Collection Methods and the Future of GIS

Presentation Outline:

This presentation explores the evolving landscape of GIS and its impact on field data collection. We begin by highlighting the crucial role of geodesy in ensuring accurate data acquisition. Next the presentation delves into cutting-edge terrestrial and remote sensing methods such as GNSS, Augmented Reality, and modern Remote Earth Observation Techniques. These technologies enhance accuracy, enable real-time visualization, and provide vast geospatial data for informed decision-making. By examining the potential of these exciting advancements, we have the chance to improve spatial understanding for all.
