Presentation Outline:

Paul will join us to talk on two fronts. First, wearing his technical (day job) hat, he'll cover what he calls "the Esri No Code anti-patterns". These patterns emerged from his various attempts over the years in stitching Esri apps together for asset inspections and public reporting of streetlight issues and without code. Right when you think you have the right no code app in place, a limitation either kicks you into another direction or back to the drawing board. He'll talk workflow and what he's landed on as "reasonable" no code using ArcGIS online.

Next, with his passion project (after hours) hat on, he'll talk about the 3 keys to data-driven strategy: models, methods and networks. He'll cover this project's evolution, and discuss who's involved in this movement of peers who are taking the opportunity to be more strategic in the development of their enterprise programs using enterprise maturity modeling & The Maturity Method™.

About the Speaker:

Paul Giroux, M.Sc. (GIS), GISP, boasts a long career marked by a focus on enterprise data and innovation. His journey, starting in the late 90s, has unfolded within local government and utilities. Beginning as a Web Developer, he advanced into roles as an Enterprise GIS Analyst and Administrator. Later, he led a team transforming Water/Wastewater Operations. Since 2018, he's been spearheading Innovation, Business, and Location Intelligence at a local electrical utility and telecom.

Paul's contributions to the profession include The Maturity Method™ that extends his enterprise geospatial (Slimgim) and Data and Analytics (SlimgD&A) models with a management practice and a data-driven strategic roadmap in Google Looker. This approach is benefiting many diverse organizations, from major industries to local governments who are learning to use enterprise maturity modeling as Cohorts on maturity.network.
