About the Speaker:

Hailing from north of the border, Oly Powers, GISP earned her Honours Bachelor of Science in Physical Geography and GIS from the University of Toronto and her Graduate Certificate in Cartography from the Geomatics Institute at Fleming College. While her early career focused on conservation and conventional cartography, since moving to Texas she’s become a subject matter expert in the realm of Public Works and Asset Management. Today Oly works as a GIS Analyst, using the power of cartography, programing, and analytics to provide data driven solutions for the City of Rockwall. Oly proudly served on the URISA Texas Board of Directors from 2016-2022 and still volunteers with both URISA Texas and TxEGRT.
