With the WCAG 2.1 ADA compliance deadline pushed back a year organizations are now afforded some time to gather resources and plan the changes their GIS departments need to make. The City of Carrollton's GIS department has found themselves ahead of the pack, having finished and being now in the review phase. We have collected web resources, tools, as well as pointed out specific issues and questions we encountered to help those now going through the process.
Myriam Gomez
Myriam has worked for the City of Carrollton as GIS Analyst for 3 years with a combined 9 years in the industry. She graduated from UT Arlington with a B.S in Environmental Science, a certification in GIS and recently acquired a COMPTIA Security+ certification. In her free time she collects vintage geography and scientific texts, does embroidery, and plays video games. Myriam has helped the City of Carrollton's GIS department with GPS, field and mobile workflows, Experience Builder implementations and most recently with ADA Compliance.
