Presentation Outline:
The products, data, architecture and tools needed to create real time situational monitoring for a large class 2 railroad. We will also go into how this improves safety, productivity and awareness of what is happing on the Railbelt.
About the Presenter, Garrett Giordano:
Garret is the GIS Program Manager for the Alaska Railroad. He started out in the GIS field doing wet utility GIS work in Colorado, and eventually moved into Municipal GIS work at the Town of Little Elm. Eventually, he found his way up to the Last Frontier and became the Alaska Railroad’s first and only dedicated full time GIS practitioner, and redesigned the company’s entire relationship with GIS.
