Job Title: GIS Analyst

Duration: 5 months + 1-2 months of part-time training prior to start date
Job Summary: To provide mapping support and geospatial analysis on upstream oil & gas assets and midstream systems. Key activities include utilizing ESRI’s GIS products to generate presentation quality maps and perform data queries for the Oil and Gas Investment Banking Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Query oil and gas data from subscription services (rig activity, operator acreage positions, well locations)
- Perform analysis and geoprocessing actions in GIS across varying data types
- Collaborate with geology, engineering and a banking staff to create project specific materials
- Format maps into Power Point presentations for client books and create occasional wall maps
- Manage multiple job requests and independently prioritize projects as needed
Job Requirements:
- Experience working in ESRI’s suite of products (ArcGIS Desktop and/or ArcGIS Pro) **Mandatory**
Skills Desired:
- Apply knowledge of Arc Catalog tools (including spatial analyst extension) to answer relevant questions
- Geo-reference and rectify images
- Import/export shapefiles or feature classes to varying locations
- Conduct select by location, SQL queries, and definition queries
- Use cartography design principles that communicate effectively
- Update and maintain GIS data library

Note:
